  • Kielce is a small and calm town, hence being a more affordable city than its siblings like Warsaw and Krakow

  • Kielce is situated in an upland location, surrounded by rich nature with beautiful picturesque forests, hills and plenty of parks

  • Response time: It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to get a response, during the application process. TIP- Applying earlier the better

Who is Qualified?

How to apply?

  1. Register and make an account on JKU's electronic application system

  2. Follow the instructions and submit the application via the electronic application system

    1. Involves attaching scanned documents to the application

  3. Pay the application fee of 85 PLN 

  4. Once the JKU's admission committee verifies your application, you will be notified through the online system and via your email that you are accepted into JKU (Make sure you are always checking)

  5. CONGRATULATONS!

How are Applicants assessed?

Candidates are admitted based on their high school grades alone 

Entrance Examination

There is NO written or oral entrance exam 

Documents required

  • Completed online application form, printed and signed 

  • Motivational letter (examples)

  • Health certificate

  • Original, notarised copy or Apostilled high school diploma (final grades of high school)

  • On the bus/tram:

    • small electronic tablet which accepts card payment (contactless & electronic ticket)

    • Bus dirver (cash only & paper tickets)

  • Small corner shops/Kiosk (paper tickets) 

  • Ticket machines at the bus/tram stop

 

Intercity travelling in Poland:

  • You can get 51% discount with your student ID (not if you are 26 and over)

TIP: Make sure you carry your student ID when travelling on public transport & trains, to avoid fines of 150-300 PLN from ticket inspectors!

Jakdojade is a public transport app that everyone uses to travel via public transport in Poland. You put in your current location and your destination and it will show you what buses/trams to take. This app can be used in all Polish cities, as there is a feature where you can change the city you are in.

    • Cooking your own food is much more cost effective than eating outside in restaurants. (Learning some basic cooking skills will be very useful)

  • Weekly grocery shopping costs varies for each individual depending on their diet, preferences and choice of grocery shop
